Description
Show Description: This is a late-night, Dionysian retelling of the story from Ovid’s Metamorphoses, using the techniques of clown, bouffon and music. The Underworld is a night club. Fate is a DJ. The lovers, Orpheus and Eurydice are chased through the worlds of light and darkness by three grotesque bouffons whose only joy is destruction, and the occasional lighthearted musical number. Can Orpheus save Eurydice from the underworld? Can Eurydice save Orpheus from himself? Will love triumph over death?

Cast List: Featuring ensemble member Jack Novak, with guest artists Audrey Bertaux-Skeirik, Kevin Crowley, Lindsey Dorcus, Ashley Moret, Nathan Paul, Alyssa Duerksen, and Becca Drew Emmerich.

Reviews: "The most dynamic play of the season...Magnetic physicality. A MUST SEE Show. "
- Lisa Findley for Centerstage Chicago

?"Hypnotic, pulsating, dangerous and vividly immediate... an electrifying and immersive piece of physical theater that inspires awe..."
- Neal Ryan Shaw for Newcity Stage

"Compelling and innovative... It takes no prisoners, and the prisoners it does take have to dance... Donnelly is a hell of a DJ..."
- Will Fink for Chicago Critic
